Abstract: Resistance to antibiotics has been acknowledged as a major global public health problem. The use of peptides to provide alternatives to combat multi drug resistant organisms is of current relevance to overcome antibiotic resistance. The high deversity of amphibian skin peptides render these animals a potential source for the discovery of novel drugs.
