Abstract: To understand relationship between motivation and job satisfaction, the study identified factors that have influence on motivation and job satisfaction of administrative staff. This study was done using quantitative methods and made use of a descriptive design. Online questionnaire survey method was used to administer a Likert type scale questionnaire to 77 participants . 54 responses representing a rate of 70% were received and analysed to generate a study outcome. The study found a positive relationship between work motivation and job satisfaction, leading to the conclusion that when employees are motivated that will lead to increased employees job satisfaction. Thus, it is important for managers to ensure that employees are regularly motivated in order to promote job satisfaction amongst employees. The study concludes that statistically significant relationships exist between employee motivation and job satisfaction. While all the elements have a potential influence on both motivation and job satisfaction, conducive working environment is found to be the highest motivation factor that has increase in job satisfaction.
